Allow a 3-4 minute natural pressure release (3 minutes for more bite 4 for softer noodles). Lock the lid to sealing, and cook on Manual High Pressure for 3 minutes. Use a wooden spoon to gently press down to make sure all pasta is submerged in the liquid. In the Instant Pot, combine noodles with water. I just love how quick it seems with the Instant Pot! Add the dried pasta, chicken broth, water, butter, hot sauce, salt, garlic powder, pepper, smoked paprika, dried mustard, and onion powder to the liner of an Instant Pot. Of course, if you don’t have an Instant Pot, you could use a slow cooker or another electric pressure cooker, with very similar results. Select the 'Keep Warm' setting on the Instant Pot and allow macaroni to sit, uncovered and stirring occasionally, until all liquid has been absorbed and consistency is smooth and creamy, about 15 minutes. This Instant Pot Mac and Cheese was so simple to throw together. Add in Cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted. Add tomatoes, beans, chili powder, and parsley. Lightly brown the meat (about 3 minutes). Add the ground beef, and once the meat starts to sizzle, start to breaking down the beef so it can cook evenly picture 2. Keep in mind that the sharper or stronger the taste of cheese, the better your Instant Pot Mac and Cheese will be. On the instant pot, press Sautee (set for 10 minutes). Add the macaroni, water, and ham to the insert pot. Stir the garlic and allow it to heat for a minute. Stir in the garlic and press Cancel to turn off the Saute mode. Using the Saute function, cook until the onion is softened, about 3-5 minutes. (Do not under-salt) Pour in the drained, cooked macaroni and stir to combine. Taste the sauce, adding more salt and seasoned salt as needed. This specific recipe calls for Colby Jack and Parmesan Cheese. Add butter and onion to the insert pot of the Instant Pot. 5 Pour the egg mixture into the sauce, whisking constantly. We wanted the best mac & cheese recipe! We wanted homemade! We decided to try it out in the Instant Pot and it turned out great! We were not disappointed by this easy mac & cheese recipe, that’s for sure! We decided this past week, that we had to make an easy mac & cheese recipe, but we knew we didn’t want the cheap, sometimes tasteless boxed version. YES! I’m not sure why I don’t make it more often, really, because in the Instant Pot, Macaroni & Cheese is so easy! Probably just about as easy as it is to make the boxed version! Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build. Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions set timer for 4 minutes. Can you make Mac and Cheese in the Instant Pot?
